Plans for Reopening this August

  • Thank you for your ongoing understanding and support as we navigate a difficult and complex situation. We look forward to students and staff returning to campuses.

  • After thoughtful  planning with staff, including review of guidance documents  from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Harvard School of Public Health, we are ready to share our reopening plans with the community.

  • Know that our plans were prepared in an effort to try to deliver quality instruction in the safest manner possible. We all must be flexible.

  • Please watch the overview video and use the links below for the elements of our plans for Health and Safety, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, and our Virtual Academy.

  • We are offering two options for the fall: On-campus Instruction or a fully online Virtual Academy. On-campus instruction will be provided in cohort groups on an alternating AM/PM schedule, in order to provide the best balance of safety and learning for our students. See the plan elements below for more information.

  • Out of an abundance of caution, we have deemed it necessary to postpone re-opening our tuition-based preschool program due to the recommendations and precautions set forth by the CDC and LA Health Department. See the Buttercup Preschool Website for further details and updates.

  • We are asking that all families to choose to enroll their students in either On-campus Instruction or the Virtual Academy by July 24th at 5:00 PM so that we can use enrollment data to build our classes.
